Alex and the FLOAT Foundation

About Alex

In November 2013 Alex Lewis went from being a regular family guy and pub landlord to having a 3% change of survival as his body was ravaged by Septicaemia.

Over the course of the next 7 months Alex lost all four limbs and part of his face and mouth.

Four years down the line, he is still a work in progress but is dedicated to giving hope to those in need of AT in order to live an independent life.

About the FLOAT Foundation

The foundation is the culmination of over 10 years of working in the AT space.

The FLOAT vision is one of a society where every person, regardless of their ability, can fully participate and thrive in their communities, empowered by the transformative potential of assistive technology.
